Our purpose

More than a connection.
A chance to grow.

YouthConnect Platform (YCP) is a proposed web-based programme for about 4,000 young people from Uganda and other East African countries.

It brings learning, discussions, feedback and collaborative projects into one place, helping participants build practical skills and learn from each other.

Ideas into action

Different skills.
One shared challenge.

A team could bring together young people with skills in agriculture, software development, data analysis and environmental studies to create a digital solution for smallholder farmers.

An example of the collaborative projects YCP aims to support.

Designed around people

Simple to use. Built to include.

YCP's design priorities reflect different levels of digital literacy, connectivity and experience.

Phone-friendly access

Clear navigation, readable content and layouts designed for small screens first.

Lower data needs

A lightweight experience designed with limited and unreliable connectivity in mind.

Privacy & appropriate access

Protecting personal and project information is a core requirement, with access based on users' roles and responsibilities.

Participants learn with support from facilitators and mentors. Administrators manage programme information, while stakeholders contribute to project feedback and validation.
